Terms of use

Last updated: 31 October 2026

About these terms

These terms apply when you visit or use the Fraudlyst website. By using the website, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

This website is operated by Rhoda Ikhuemose under the name Fraudlyst. You can contact us at hello@fraudlyst.co.uk.

The website does not take payments, deposits, pre-orders or bookings.

Age requirement

You must be 18 or over to join a Fraudlyst waiting list or take part in a Fraudlyst product.

What the website provides

The website explains Fraudlyst's planned case-based skill assessment products and lets you register your interest. The Maya Demo is not yet playable, and the Live Investigation Simulation, Applied and Advanced are not yet open.

Waiting lists

Joining a waiting list is free and does not require you to buy anything. It gives Fraudlyst permission to email you about the products you selected.

You can join more than one list and leave each one separately. To leave, email hello@fraudlyst.co.uk and tell us which list or lists.

Joining a list does not guarantee a place, a date or any other commitment, and it does not create a contract for a paid service. Enrolment details will be confirmed before a product opens.

Applied pricing

Nothing is on sale yet and no payment is taken. This section explains how Applied will be priced when it opens, so you can see exactly what you would pay.

Applied's standard price is £499. There are two ways to pay less:

  1. the waiting-list launch price, £399; and
  2. the Simulation credit, which takes £99 off the standard price, so you pay £400.

Only one of these can apply to you. If you qualify for both, you pay the lower price, £399. The price is never lower than £399.

1. The waiting-list launch price (£399)

  1. Join the Applied waiting list.
  2. When Applied opens, enrol during the launch period.
  3. You pay £399 instead of £499.

The launch period will be confirmed before enrolment opens. The waiting-list launch price ends when the launch period ends.

2. The Simulation credit (£99 off)

  1. Take part in a Live Investigation Simulation (£99).
  2. Your 30-day window starts on the day you take part in your session, not the day you book it. Booking days or weeks ahead does not start the clock early.
  3. The window ends at 11:59pm UK time, 30 days after your session date.
  4. Buy Applied within that window, and the £99 comes off the standard £499 price. You pay £400.

Worked example

Your session takes place on the evening of 1 March. Your window runs from 1 March up to and including 31 March, until 11:59pm UK time.

  • You buy Applied on 20 March: you pay £400.
  • You buy Applied on 1 April: the window has closed, so the Simulation credit no longer applies.

The Simulation credit continues after the launch period, for as long as the Live Investigation Simulation is offered.

Buying Applied, not starting it

What counts is the date Applied is bought in your name, not the date you start working through it. Once you have bought Applied inside your window, you can open your first case whenever you are ready. Your access period starts on the day you enrol, so starting later leaves you less time.

Worked example

Your session is on 1 March. You buy Applied on 20 March, so you pay £400. You start your first case on 15 April. You still keep the £99 credit, because you bought Applied inside your window. Your 3 months of access run from 20 March, the day you enrolled.

The credit is personal

The Simulation credit can only be used by the person who took part in the simulation, for an Applied place bought in their own name. It cannot be transferred to anyone else.

Your simulation counts as your first live room

Applied includes two live rooms. If you took part in a Live Investigation Simulation, it counts as your first Applied live room, whichever price you pay.

Which price will you pay?

Worked examples

  • Amira is on the waiting list and enrols during the launch period. She pays £399.
  • Ben takes a simulation on 1 March and buys Applied on 20 March, after the launch period has ended. He pays £400.
  • Dev is on the waiting list, took a simulation, and enrols during the launch period within his 30 days. He qualifies for both, so he pays the lower price, £399. His simulation still counts as his first live room.
  • Kemi did not take a simulation in the 30 days before buying, and did not enrol as a waiting-list member during the launch period. She pays the standard price, £499.

Prices after the launch period

When the launch period ends, the £399 waiting-list launch price is no longer available. Applied's standard price of £499 applies, and the Simulation credit can still bring it to £400 if you buy within 30 days of your session.

If prices change

Fraudlyst may change its prices in future. If Applied's standard price changes, the Simulation price may change too. The credit is always the amount you paid for your simulation, taken off Applied's standard price on the date you enrol. Any change applies only to enrolments made after it is published.

Access periods

Nothing is on sale yet. This section explains how access will work when Applied and Advanced open.

  • Applied: 3 months of access from the day you enrol.
  • Advanced: 6 months of access from the day you enrol.

Your access starts on the day the product is bought in your name, not the day you open your first case. It ends at 11:59pm UK time on the same date 3 or 6 months later. If that month has no such date, it ends on the last day of that month. During your access period you can work through your cases, attend your live rooms or live sessions and send in your reviewed work.

Worked example

Amira enrols in Applied on 10 January. Her access runs until 11:59pm UK time on 10 April. She opens her first case on 20 January, but her access still ends on 10 April, because it counts from the day she enrolled.

Leo enrols in Applied on 30 November. February has no 30th, so his access ends at 11:59pm UK time on the last day of February.

Access and your reviewed work

You can keep working on your cases while a reviewed submission is with the reviewers.

In Applied

  1. Your final case review (Case 20) opens once you have completed Cases 1 to 19, including your midpoint checkpoint (Case 10). Your second live room can come before or during it.
  2. You make one submission for the final case review, before your access period ends.
  3. You complete Applied when you have submitted all 20 cases, including both reviewed submissions. Your Record of Skills then shows "Completed". Completing Applied is Route 1 into Advanced.
  4. If your access period ends first, your Record of Skills shows "Not completed" and the work you did.

In Advanced

  1. Cases 5, 10 and 15 are reviewed case submissions. You make one submission for each, before your access period ends.
  2. Your capstone opens once you have completed all 15 cases.
  3. Every capstone attempt must be submitted before your access period ends.
  4. Your first attempt is due up to 14 days after you open the capstone. Each resubmission is due up to 7 days after you receive feedback. No deadline falls after your access period ends, except under the late feedback rule below.
  5. To have time for all three attempts, open your capstone at least 42 days (6 weeks) before your access ends, which is by about week 20. If you open it later, you still get every attempt that fits before your access ends, which may be fewer than three.
  6. Late feedback: if our feedback arrives more than 7 days after you submitted, and your next deadline would then fall after your access ends, that deadline still stands.
  7. If your access period ends before you submit a first capstone attempt, your Record of Skills shows "Not completed" and the work you did.

Grace period

Work submitted before your access ends is still reviewed. Your feedback, any capstone outcome and any closing call can take place up to 14 days after your access ends. You cannot submit anything new in that period.

Worked example: Applied

Amira enrols in Applied on 10 January. Her access ends at 11:59pm UK time on 10 April.

  • By 6 February she completes Cases 1 to 9 and live room 1, and submits Case 10, her midpoint checkpoint.
  • Her midpoint feedback is due by 13 February. Meanwhile she carries on with Cases 11 to 19 and attends live room 2.
  • On 3 April she submits Case 20, her final case review. Her feedback is due by 10 April.
  • She has submitted all 20 cases, so her Record of Skills shows "Completed".

Jo enrols on 10 January and has completed 14 cases by 10 April. His Record of Skills shows his 14 cases and the status "Not completed".

Worked example: Advanced capstone

Kai enrols in Advanced on 1 January. His access ends at 11:59pm UK time on 1 July, and his grace period runs to 15 July.

Kai's capstone timeline
DateWhat happens
20 MayOpens the capstone (week 20)
3 JuneAttempt 1 due
10 JuneFeedback due: revise and resubmit
17 JuneAttempt 2 due
24 JuneFeedback due: revise and resubmit
1 JulyAttempt 3 due. Access ends
8 JulyFeedback due, in the grace period
By 15 JulyIf not signed off, the 30-minute closing call

If his feedback on attempt 2 had arrived on 26 June, two days late, attempt 3 would be due on 3 July. That is after his access ends, but the deadline stands because our feedback was late.

If he had opened the capstone on 3 June instead, attempt 1 would be due on 17 June and attempt 2 on 1 July. No time would be left for a third attempt, so his capstone would close on attempt 2.

No extensions

Access periods cannot be extended, by payment or otherwise. If you are disabled and need an adjustment to take part, please tell us.

Changes to access periods and programme length

Access periods and the length of each programme, including how long each part is expected to take, are subject to change before and after Applied and Advanced open. Any change applies only to people who enrol after it is published. If you have already enrolled, you keep the access period and programme length that applied on the day you enrolled.

Live rooms and live sessions

Live rooms in Applied, and live sessions in Advanced, run according to demand. For each of your live rooms or sessions, we will offer you at least two dates within your access period, with at least 14 days' notice. Please choose one within 7 days of the date we send them. If you do not choose one, we will book you into the last date offered. If you do not attend, the room counts as used. A room can run with a small group, with the practitioner taking on any roles not filled.

If you cannot attend the date you chose, tell us at least 48 hours before and you can move to another offered date, once per room. If you miss a room or tell us later than that, the room counts as used and your Record of Skills shows it as not attended. There is no refund. Missing a room does not stop you completing Applied, or affect whether your Advanced capstone is signed off.

Worked example

Ben enrols on 1 May. We offer his live room 2 on 10 June and 24 June. He chooses 10 June, then tells us on 5 June he cannot make it, so he moves to 24 June. If he misses 24 June, his record shows "Live room 2: Not attended".

Feedback times

We aim to return feedback on each reviewed submission within 7 days of receiving it, counting every calendar day, including weekends and bank holidays. This is our aim, not a guarantee. You can keep working on your other cases while you wait. Your deadline for the next capstone attempt counts from the day you receive feedback, so late feedback never shortens your time.

Worked example

Priya submits her midpoint checkpoint on Monday 1 March. We aim to return her feedback by Monday 8 March, and meanwhile she starts Case 11. Later, in Advanced, she submits capstone attempt 1 on 5 April. The feedback arrives on 14 April, two days later than our aim. Her attempt 2 is due 7 days after that, on 21 April.

Records, sign-off and verification

Nothing is on sale yet and no records have been issued. This section explains how records will work when Applied and Advanced open.

How your work is assessed

In Applied and Advanced, every case is assessed using AI-assisted assessment and reviewed by experienced practitioners. Your reviewed submissions (in Applied, the midpoint checkpoint and the final case review; in Advanced, Cases 5, 10 and 15 and your capstone) each receive a full written review.

Your Record of Skills

When you finish Applied or Advanced, you receive a Record of Skills. It is issued by Fraudlyst and describes your work on Fraudlyst. It shows:

  1. each case: what you did, what you did well and what could be better;
  2. the skills you demonstrated;
  3. your live rooms or live sessions;
  4. your reviewed submissions and, in Advanced, every capstone attempt and its outcome, and anything else relevant along the way, such as a missed live room or closing call, stated factually;
  5. your status: in Applied, "Completed" or "Not completed"; in Advanced, your capstone status, "Signed off", "Not signed off", or "Not completed" if you did not submit a capstone attempt; and
  6. how your work was assessed, and your verification code.

The Advanced capstone: attempts and sign-off

  1. In Advanced, you have up to three attempts at the capstone, all submitted within your access period (see Access and your reviewed work). After each attempt you receive written feedback.
  2. When the reviewers find your capstone meets the expected standard, it is signed off.
  3. If your third attempt is still at "revise and resubmit", you are offered a 30-minute closing call with a practitioner, who explains the basics and closes your capstone.
  4. Your Record of Skills then shows the capstone as not signed off. There is no further attempt or retake.

"Signed off" and "Not signed off" describe your capstone only. They are not grades.

Worked example

Priya completes all 15 Advanced cases and her live sessions. Her first two capstone attempts come back as "revise and resubmit", and her third is signed off. Her Record of Skills shows all three attempts and the status "Signed off".

Sam, also in Advanced, finds his third attempt is still at "revise and resubmit". He has his 30-minute closing call. His Record of Skills shows his cases, skills and three attempts, and the status "Not signed off". If Sam had not attended the call, the record would say so.

Verification and sharing

Before you enrol, we will tell you clearly that your Record of Skills includes every attempt and outcome, including "Not signed off" and a missed closing call.

  1. Each Record of Skills can have verification codes. You create a code when you want to share your record.
  2. You decide who to share a code with. Fraudlyst never shares your code or lists your record for you.
  3. For each code, you choose what it shows: a summary (cases completed, skills demonstrated and your status) or your full record (case-by-case results, every attempt and events such as a missed closing call).
  4. Your step-by-step record of how you worked each case is not shared by default. A code shows a summary of your reasoning. You can choose to include the full step-by-step record for a particular code, and only with your consent.
  5. Anyone with the code, such as an employer, sees a read-only page with your name and the view you chose. It does not show your contact details.
  6. Codes expire after 90 days unless you renew them. You can withdraw a code at any time, and it stops working straight away.
  7. You can see when each of your codes has been used.

Worked example

Sam applies for two jobs. He sends Employer A a code set to the summary view, and Employer B a code set to the full record, because they asked to see his case-by-case work. After his interviews, he withdraws both codes.

Prices and future purchases

Prices on the website show what each product will cost. The website cannot accept a purchase.

Before any paid product opens, Fraudlyst will publish the full purchase and consumer terms that apply to it. Those terms, not these website terms, will govern a paid booking or enrolment. The section below explains how cancellations and refunds will work.

Cancellations and refunds

Nothing is on sale yet. This section explains how cancellations and refunds will work when products open. It does not affect your legal rights.

Cancelling within 14 days

You can cancel within 14 days of buying. If you have not started, you get a full refund. If you asked to start straight away, we take off what you have used:

  • for Applied, 1/20 of the price you paid for each case you have opened;
  • for Advanced, 1/15 of the price you paid for each case you have opened; and
  • £99 for each live room or live session you have attended.

For the Live Investigation Simulation, you get a full refund if you cancel within 14 days and before your session. We refund you within 14 days of your cancellation, to the way you paid.

Worked examples

  • Ola buys Applied for £399 on 1 March, opens three cases and cancels on 10 March. He gets £339.15 back (£399 minus 3 × £19.95).
  • Nia buys Advanced for £699, opens two cases, attends one live session and cancels on day 12. She gets £506.80 back (£699 minus £93.20 minus £99).
  • Tom books a simulation on 1 March for 25 March and cancels on 10 March. He gets £99 back.

After 14 days

After 14 days, there is no refund for a change of mind, for not finishing, or because your Advanced capstone was not signed off. This does not affect your legal rights if we fail to provide what you paid for. If you booked a simulation and can no longer attend, see If you cannot attend.

Worked example

Sam's Advanced capstone is not signed off after three attempts and his closing call. He asks for a refund. There is none, because he received everything he paid for.

If you cannot attend

This applies to the Live Investigation Simulation, live rooms, live sessions and the closing call. If you cannot attend, tell us at least 48 hours before and you can move to another available date, once. If you miss it, or tell us later, it counts as used and there is no refund.

  • For the Simulation, the £99 credit only applies after you take part.
  • For a live room or live session, your Record of Skills shows it as not attended.
  • If you miss your closing call, your capstone closes and your record says the call was not attended.

Worked examples

  • Ade tells us 3 days before his simulation that he cannot come. He moves to the next date.
  • Bea does not turn up and gives no notice. Her session counts as used, there is no refund, and she has no credit to use on Applied.
  • Sam misses his closing call. His record shows "Not signed off. Closing call not attended."

If we cancel or move a session

We do everything we reasonably can to make sure every session goes ahead as planned. In the rare event that we need to cancel or move a session, we will tell you as soon as we can.

  • Simulation: you choose a new date or a full refund. Your 30-day credit window starts on the day you actually take part.
  • Live room or live session: we offer you new dates within your access period. If we cannot, we offer a date up to 30 days after your access ends, for that room only. If none suits you, we refund £99 for that room.
  • Closing call: we offer you a new time.
  • If we stop offering a programme you have paid for, we refund the part we have not provided.

Worked examples

  • If we need to move Chi's simulation, we tell her as soon as we can and offer her a new date or a full refund. If she chooses the refund, she gets £99 back.
  • Dan is enrolled in Applied, which includes 3 months' access and two live rooms. If we need to move his live room 2 and his access is about to end, we offer him a date up to 30 days after his access ends, so he doesn't miss out. For example, we offer him a date 10 days after it ends. If he cannot make that date, he gets £99 back for that room.

Refunds and the Simulation credit

If your simulation is refunded before it takes place, there is no credit, because the credit only follows a simulation you took part in. Once you have taken part in a simulation, it cannot be refunded. If you bought Applied with the credit and cancel within 14 days, we refund what you paid (£400), minus anything you used. The credit then becomes available again until the end of your original 30-day window.

Worked example

Eve takes part in a simulation on 1 March and buys Applied for £400 on 5 March. She cancels on 8 March without opening a case and gets £400 back. On 20 March she changes her mind and buys again. She still pays £400, because her window runs to 31 March.

Case content

Fraudlyst content is for training, practice and skills assessment. Cases are realistic and fictional, informed by patterns seen in real investigations. Nothing on Fraudlyst is advice for a real case: if you are dealing with a real matter, follow your organisation's policies and take qualified advice. Your results depend on your own work, and Fraudlyst cannot promise a particular outcome, such as a job.

Simulation roles

Simulation roles use recognised job titles so the exercise feels real. They are roles in the simulation only, and a role shown on a Fraudlyst record is a simulation role.

Acceptable use

You must not:

  • use the website unlawfully, fraudulently or to harm anyone;
  • try to gain unauthorised access to the website, its database, administrative areas or anyone's information;
  • interfere with the website's operation, security, rate limits or anti-abuse controls;
  • use bots or automated tools to submit forms, scrape content or test whether an email address is on a waiting list;
  • submit malicious code, unlawful material, confidential case information or another person's personal information without authority;
  • copy, republish, sell or build answer banks from Fraudlyst case content, except where the law allows; or
  • present a sample record as a real one, or any record as belonging to someone it was not issued to.

We may block or restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the website, its users or Fraudlyst's rights.

Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, the Fraudlyst name, branding, website design, text, cases, evidence, questions, graphics and other original materials belong to, or are licensed to, the operator of Fraudlyst.

You may view the website for personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, adapt, distribute, sell, publish or commercially use its content without written permission, except where the law allows. Third-party names and trade marks belong to their owners.

Website availability and changes

We work to keep the website accurate and available at all times. Occasional interruptions, for example for maintenance, can happen, and we fix any issue as quickly as we can. We may correct, update, remove or suspend content where reasonably necessary. Joining a waiting list does not require Fraudlyst to open a product by a particular date.

The website may link to other websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.

Events outside our reasonable control

We are not responsible for any delay or failure to provide a session, live room or other part of a programme caused by events outside our reasonable control. If this happens, we will tell you as soon as we can, and the rules in If we cancel or move a session apply. If you are a consumer, your legal rights are not affected.

Responsibility for loss

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Because this is a free information website, we are not responsible for losses caused by relying on it as professional advice, or by events outside our reasonable control. If you are a consumer, your legal rights are not affected.

Privacy, cookies and accessibility

Please read our privacy policy, cookie and storage statement and accessibility statement.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, this does not remove any mandatory protection, or any right to bring proceedings, that the law gives you where you live.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the website or the law changes. The current version and its date will appear on this page.
