What's included

Cases
15 complex multi-stage cases
Capstone
A capstone investigation: a complete case you run on your own, from brief to recommendation, after all 15 cases. You trace the money, build the timeline, weigh the evidence and write an investigation report that experienced practitioners review skill by skill. More about the capstone.
Live sessions
Five: three simulations and two career and professional practice sessions. Sessions run according to demand, and you choose from the dates we offer within your access period. Terms apply.
Practitioner review
Four extensively assessed submissions, reviewed by experienced practitioners: Cases 5, 10 and 15 and your capstone. Who reviews your work. We aim to return feedback within 7 days. Terms apply.
Assessment
Every case is assessed using AI-assisted assessment and reviewed by experienced practitioners
On completion
A Record of Skills and a portfolio
Access
6 months from the day you enrol. Open your capstone at least 6 weeks before your access ends to have time for all three attempts. Terms apply.
Reviewed case submissions

Three times during Advanced, you submit a case in full instead of answering questions. Experienced practitioners review each one, so you can sharpen your method before the capstone.

When
Cases 5, 10 and 15, one in each third of the programme
You receive
A case brief and an evidence pack
You submit
Structured case notes: your findings, what the evidence does not show, your next steps and your reasons
Effort
About 3 to 4 hours each
Submission
One for each case, within your access period
Review
Reviewed by experienced practitioners against the core skills the case tests. We aim to return feedback within 7 days. Terms apply.
You get
Written feedback after each one, with each review on your Record of Skills. You can keep working while you wait.
The capstone investigation

The capstone is the final piece of work in Advanced: a complete investigation you work on your own, from brief to recommendation, bringing together everything the earlier cases built.

When
After you have completed all 15 cases
You receive
A case brief (your role, your authority and what you have been asked to decide) and an evidence pack, released in stages
You do
Build a timeline, trace and reconcile the money, separate allegations from what the evidence shows, and decide what should happen next within your authority
You submit
A short investigation report on a set template: summary, chronology, findings, and a recommendation with your reasons
Effort
About 6 to 10 hours. Up to 14 days for your first attempt, and up to 7 days for each resubmission after you receive feedback.
Review
Reviewed by experienced practitioners against the core skills the case tests: interpreting evidence, reconciling and tracing funds, separating allegations from findings, escalating within your authority, and recording a clear rationale. We aim to return feedback within 7 days. Terms apply.
Attempts
Up to three, all submitted within your access period. If your third attempt is still at "revise and resubmit", a 30-minute closing call with a practitioner explains the basics and closes your capstone. Your Record of Skills then shows it as not signed off. There is no retake. Terms apply.
You get
Written feedback on each skill after every attempt, your capstone report to keep, and the capstone outcome on your Record of Skills
